Glencoe House

Glencoe House, built by Lord Strathcona in 1896, sits majestically overlooking Glencoe, Scotlands’s most famous Highland scenery. Located just 45 minutes scenic coastline drive from Oban Airport for Jetlogic guests.

Glencoe house compromises fourteen generous private suites (from 75-148 sq.metres) and contains two distinctive concepts. Both offer elegant but relaxed and sumptuous suites, with the space and privacy to really kick your shoes off and unwind – one of the most exclusive places to stay in the Scottish Highlands!

The Glencoe House Suites are situated in the mansion house where you occupy your own wing of the historic building and enjoy panoramic sea and mountain vistas. One or two-bedroom suites are available, all boasting lavish bathrooms and substantial sitting room. These rooms encompass an array of period features and the luxury of your own open fire, together with the convenience of 21st Century technology.

A distinguishing feature of the Glencoe House suites is the unique dining experience. Breakfast and a candle lit five-course dinner are served at your private dinning room table located in your suite. Dress up or dress down – the choice is yours – regardless, you’ll enjoy an elegant restaurant experience, but without fellow diners.

The Bell Tower Suites at Glencoe House reside in a characterful building located just 50-metres from the mansion house. The Bell Tower contains 6 x one-bedroom suites. The ground floor comprises a comfortable sitting room with a wood-burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen complete with AGA-oven and a luxurious bathroom with Aveda toiletries. An elegant staircase takes you to the first floor mezzanine that contains a peaceful bedroom with en-suite WC.

Each suite also enjoys the luxury of a private walled garden with hot tub and alfresco dining. Dining in The Bell Tower suites is extremely flexible. Guests have the exclusive option of a seasonal five-course menu served in the Great Hall of Glencoe House. Alternatively guests can enjoy the delights of their fully-stocked kitchen and choose from the wide range of pre-prepared gourmet meals. These can be simply slipped into the AGA oven and accompanying wine or drinks from our ever-popular maxi bar can be selected. Effortless, indulgent, private dining without being disturbed by fellow guests or waiting staff.
